thee mullets

Flame Resistant has emerged from Montreal, Canada as an up-and-coming "Christ-Core" 'zine. They feature mostly punk and hardcore, with some ska, swing, rockabilly and stuff like that. They write about themselves that "our purpose is to create an informative, fun, God-glorifying 'zine that Christian kidz as well as Secular kidz can equally enjoy." Issue #5 contains a review of our first demo on page 24:

The Mullets
untitled, 5 tracks
self released
melodic punk
Vandals/Grind

This band will totally take you by surprise! From the name, you'd expect super trashy, untalented, generic garage punk. But you'd be wrong! The mullets are very talented boys giving their all to God. They combine a melodic punk style with hints of the old school. On top of the heap, Tharf's vocals are extremely powerful and work well with their super fun style!

A demo by our friends Life in Your Way is reviewed on the previous page.

Also, we are thanked on page 5, and there is a picture of Chris in the upper right hand corner of page 11. The picture is from when Chris and his friend Jon Sparing won a dance contest at the Inside Out Soul Festival in Loon Mountain New Hampshire. He is the taller one on the right. You can also see the back of his head on page 10.
